Distribution and Sales
A conditionally repayable loan may be granted to distribution and sales companies for the distribution and sale of full-length feature films, in particular those subsidized in Bavaria. This loan can amount to up to 50% of the proven preliminary distribution costs (e.g. production of DCP, advertising and marketing) or distribution costs. The maximum amount is 250,000 euros. Applications may be submitted by distribution and sales companies with a registered office, branch or place of business in Germany.
Application
The application must be accompanied by an opportunity to view the finished film (streaming link/DVD), a calculation, a financing plan, proof of acquisition of the exploitation rights and a marketing concept.
Applications for distribution funding may be submitted for all four FFF funding meetings in one year exclusively via the online application portal. If the lending measure is started before the planned submission deadline, the costs incurred can only be recognized if the FFF has been notified in writing before the measure begins. Detailed information on submission can be found in the information sheet on Distribution Funding ("Merkblatt Verleihförderung").
Bavarian Banking Fund
Following a recommendation by FFF Bayern, films whose exploitation can be expected to be particularly successful can be co-financed with funds from the Bavarian Banking Fund ("Bayerischer BankenFonds"). The financing is granted in the form of a conditionally repayable loan with interest at market rates. The loan is granted by the LfA Förderbank.
