Production Web Series
Web series that are produced in Bavaria, with or without the participation of a broadcaster or web platform, may apply for production funding. The support is intended to contribute to the fact that individual ideas can be realized and presented on the market, even without participation of a broadcaster. Formats from all genres are eligible. The ideas for new formats should be intended to run over a longer period of time and published at least once a week on a platform. For this purpose, successfully established video portals, VOD and SVOD platforms or Internet-based offers from broadcasters can be considered. The funding is granted as a conditionally repayable and-, interest-bearing loan and may amount to up to 60% of the eligible production costs, but not more than 50,000 euros per project. Producers and filmmakers in Bavaria are particularly eligible to apply.
Bavaria Effect
The amount of the subsidy is to be spent entirely in Bavaria. The Bavaria Effect and the shooting days specified by the producer in the application must at least be achieved and, in the event of a positive recommendation for funding, become part of the funding contract.
Application
In addition to the script, calculation, financing plan and proof of acquisition of the film rights, an economic concept and marketing concept containing information on the planned business model, possible exploitation and a revenue forecast must be attached to the grant application.
Funding applications may be submitted for all four FFF funding meetings in one year exclusively via the online application portal. Before submitting an application, the responsible funding officer must be contacted by telephone or in person.
